Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies vs. Wawasee Warriors

The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies will square off against the Wawasee Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Plymouth will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Plymouth beat Concord 41-30.

Meanwhile, Wawasee made easy work of Mishawaka on Saturday and carried off a 51-29 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Plymouth better keep an eye on Mackenzie Hackleman. She was instrumental in Wawasee's win, going 7 of 17 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and five steals. That's the most assists Hackleman has posted since back in November of 2024. Molly Beer was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Wawasee was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wawasee's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Plymouth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Plymouth was able to grind out a solid win over Wawasee in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 45-38. Will Plymouth repeat their success, or does Wawasee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
