Basketball Recap: Rock Hill Find Success

The Rock Hill Redmen earned a 65-55 victory over the Point Pleasant Big Blacks on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redmen.

Kelan Davidson went supernova, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Jarrod Bridges, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points and five boards.

Rock Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Several Big Blacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Waminan, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carrsen Lambert, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Point Pleasant, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Rock Hill has already played their next game, a 66-57 defeat against Elliott County on the 13th. As for Point Pleasant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-33 loss against Winfield on the 16th.
