Preview: Oakley vs. Plainville
Plainville will challenge Oakley on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Plainville are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Oakley are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Last Friday, Plainville put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Ellis to the tune of 41-0. Junior Jordan Finnesy was the offensive standout of the match for Plainville, as he passed for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns. Finnesy has now scored at least one touchdown in the past five games.
Meanwhile, Oakley were close but not close enough as they fell 22-24 to LaCrosse. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Plainville simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Oakley 39-0. Will Plainville repeat their success, or does Oakley have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
