Basketball Game Preview: Bigfork Huskies vs. Floodwood Polar Bears

The Bigfork Huskies will take on the Floodwood Polar Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Bigfork was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-67 to Fond du Lac Ojibwe O. The Huskies have struggled against the Ogichida recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Floodwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 39th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 81-29 loss at the hands of Cook County. The Polar Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Bigfork's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Floodwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything came up roses for Bigfork against Floodwood when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 80-33 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Floodwood's Jonah Spindler, who went 10 for 24 en route to 24 points.
