Soccer Game Preview: Notre Dame Academy vs. Hortonville

The Notre Dame Academy Tritons will head out to challenge the Hortonville Polar Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Notre Dame Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Notre Dame Academy barely beat Pulaski the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tritons put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp 4-1 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for Notre Dame Academy in their matchups with Pulaski: they've now won five in a row.

Notre Dame Academy hit Pulaski with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leo Weber (2), Jacob Davister, and Royce Lin.

Meanwhile, after a string of 13 wins, Hortonville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They and Kimberly finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Hortonville have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Hortonville's draw gives them a new season record of 15-0-2. As for Notre Dame Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-2.

Notre Dame Academy beat Hortonville by a goal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tritons since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
