Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Plainfield South hadn't done well against Lockport recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Porters by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Plainfield South never let Lockport on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Domonic Krejci paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up eight kills. Krejci got some help from Alexander Venes and his 24 assists. Finally, Venes was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Plainfield South's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-8. As for Lockport, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield South will host Joliet Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lockport, they will be playing at home against Stagg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Porters' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
