The Skyline Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Provo Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Provo took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Skyline, who comes in off a win.
Skyline's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Granger with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Andrew Lindquist looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Skyline let George Zervos and Peyton PapaDakis run wild. Zervos got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while PapaDakis scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave PapaDakis a new career-high in hits. Bensen Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granger only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Provo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to Cedar Valley.
Dawson Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
Provo's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Skyline, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Skyline has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Provo struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
