Harpeth got themselves on the board against Hickman County on Thursday, but Hickman County never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 12-0. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Coleman Sparkman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Harpeth got a massive performance out of Preston Merritt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Merritt a new career-high. Hudson Ealy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Harpeth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harpeth is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Hickman County, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

As of now, neither Harpeth nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
