Basketball Game Preview: Paideia Pythons vs. The Weber School Rams

The Paideia Pythons are taking a road trip to challenge The Weber School Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Paideia has four straight wins, The Weber School has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Paideia is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Galloway: they outscored them in every quarter. Paideia blew past Galloway 56-36 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pythons have posted against the Scots since January 9, 2017.

Meanwhile, The Weber School played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Walker, falling 83-25. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Wolverines are ranked 96th).

Paideia is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for The Weber School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Paideia beat The Weber School 53-41 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paideia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
