Recap: Cardozo Judges vs. Architecture, Engineering and Construction Tigers
The Cardozo Judges put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Architecture, Engineering and Construction by a score of 78-67. That's two games straight that Cardozo has won by exactly 11 points.
Cardozo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Barrett led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Peter Douvres, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Cardozo's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-1.
Cardozo will take on Campus Magnet at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Campus Magnet will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 684th, while Cardozo is ranked 88th). As for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowne at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bowne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Architecture, Engineering and Construction likes a good challenge.
