Baseball Recap: Summit Academy Knights vs. Leechburg Blue Devils

Summit Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 28 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-16 in the process. They came up short against the Leechburg Blue Devils, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on Wednesday.

As for Leechburg, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

For Leechburg's part, Jake Cummings made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cummings was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
