Soccer Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame lost against Arroyo Valley last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Notre Dame Titans came up short against the Arroyo Valley Hawks, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1024th, while the Hawks are ranked 163rd).

Notre Dame is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-3. As for Arroyo Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will square off against Eisenhower at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame is facing Eisenhower at the right time seeing as Eisenhower is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Arroyo Valley, they will face off against Rim of the World at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Arroyo Valley's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five contests.
