Volleyball Recap: Stratford Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against First Presbyterian Day on Tuesday, Stratford Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Piedmont Academy Cougars on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Stratford Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-23.

Stratford Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Piedmont Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stratford Academy will host Creekside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piedmont Academy, they will head out on the road to take on First Presbyterian Day at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
