Baseball Recap: Rancho Mirage Finds Playoff Glory Versus Crossroads

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rancho Mirage had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Crossroads Roadrunners 11-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rattlers.

Jayden Cunningham looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gael Martinez and Kobee Finnikin did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Finnikin got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ezra Aparicio, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Rancho Mirage's record now sits at 17-12. As for Crossroads, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Rancho Mirage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against St. Monica on the 23rd. Crossroads does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
