Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Blakeley Jorgensen stepped things up a notch to give Kenai Central the 'W'. Jorgensen struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Coming up, Jorgensen and Kenai Central will face off against Palmer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Kardinals have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since May of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
