Basketball Recap: Elida Comes Up Short

Elida lost against Fort Sumner/House back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Elida Tigers were beaten by Fort Sumner/House 83-51.

Elida lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Blayne Bricker, who posted ten points. Savino Frank was another key player, putting up ten points.

Elida has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Fort Sumner/House, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elida will venture away from home to face off against Dora at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Sumner/House, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grady at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Sumner/House knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Grady likes a good challenge.
