Sawyer Wald Turns in Season-Best  Effort
 On Thursday, Lutheran got the W thanks in part to  Sawyer Wald playing the best football he has all season. Wald rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing,  he's  now averaging 2.2  rushing touchdowns per game. Those 266  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 Lutheran pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. Wald and Lutheran will head out to  square off against Hinkley  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.

Boston Harris Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 Standley Lake came up short  on Thursday despite  Boston Harris delivering his best game to date. Harris picked up 168 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Standley Lake dropped their record down to 2-4 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. Harris and Standley Lake will challenge Littleton at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.

Xavier Viarrial Turns in Another Game with at Least Eight  Total Tackles
 Lutheran was led to victory by  Xavier Viarrial, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Thursday. Viarrial wasn't messing around, making 18 total tackles (5.0 for loss). The  matchup was his tenth straight with eight or   more total tackles dating back to last season.
 On the season,  Viarrial  has averaged 13.2 total tackles per game.

Liam Graham Dazzles in Standley Lake Loss
 The second Standley Lake player making an appearance here is  Liam Graham, and for good reason. He rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 84-yard run.
 On the year,  Graham  has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 110.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he had two  rushing touchdowns.
