Volleyball Recap: Living Rock Academy Comes Up Short

Living Rock Academy lost against New Braunfels Thunder back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcat took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homeschool.

The final score came out to 25-2, 25-7, 19-25, 25-9.

New Braunfels Thunder can attribute much of their success to Kaitlyn Buchert, who had four assists and three aces. Those four assists gave Buchert a new career-high. Mimi Flores also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Living Rock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Braunfels Thunder, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Living Rock Academy will square off against Great Hearts Western Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Braunfels Thunder, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Michael's at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
