The Weld Central Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Fort Morgan Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weld Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

If Fort Morgan heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Weld Central took over last week. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over Sterling on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Weld Central.

Their offense was hitting Sterling from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Govanni Barajas-Mares led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Fort Morgan's match on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Sterling a 3-0 shutout. The result kept Fort Morgan happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 9th.

The win got Fort Morgan back to even at 5-5-1. As for Weld Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Weld Central was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Morgan in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
