Football Recap: Walter Johnson Wildcats vs. Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons
Walter Johnson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Gabe Eisler and he. Eisler rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns while he rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
