Brigham Arnold and Leconte Prophete provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Veritas Christian. The longest such play in Kansas Christian AA (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 63 yards.
St. Mary's Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cair Paravel, 60-12. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
St. John's Military's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Conner Dempsey threw for 80 and one touchdown and Prophete had 135 yards receiving. On the ground Arnold chipped in 38 yards. Arnold helped St. John's Military's passing attack out by catching two balls for eight yards.
St. John's Military's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Muleskinners feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dempsey has thrown for 399 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Prophete has 24 catches for 420 yards. Arnold leads the league in rushing with 516 yards.
A big matchup in Kansas Christian AA (8 Man) this week will be when Flint Hills Christian takes on St. Mary's Academy. As it stands, the Warriors are in fifth, while Tom Plumley's team is in first.
The Crusaders were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in the league. Earlier in the week, St. Mary's Academy triumphed over the Lions 60-12.
