Southland Academy is a perfect 3-0 against First Presbyterian Day since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Raiders will challenge the Vikings at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Raiders fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Crisp Academy 90-37.

Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day blew past Covenant Academy, posting a 76-48 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Southland Academy better keep an eye on Gavin Wilson. He was instrumental in First Presbyterian Day's win, going 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Wilson a new career-high. Brett Roper was another key player, shooting 67% from the field en route to 14 points.

Southland Academy beat First Presbyterian Day 59-49 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
