Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Christian Lions vs. Albany Warriors

The St. Joseph Christian Lions will take on the Albany Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for St. Joseph Christian: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Albany has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

It was a proper cat-fight when St. Joseph Christian challenged Pattonsburg on Tuesday. St. Joseph Christian lost 34-13 to Pattonsburg. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Panthers since January 7, 2020.

Meanwhile, Albany hadn't done well against King City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Albany managed a 32-28 victory over King City. The 32-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. Joseph Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Albany, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
