Basketball Recap: Bothell Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bothell). Everything went their way against the Eastlake Wolves on Wednesday as the Bothell Cougars made off with a 76-53 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Charlotte Lipkin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Petrin, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points.

The win (which was Bothell's eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Eastlake, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Bothell has already played their next contest, a 58-52 defeat against Woodinville on the 10th. As for Eastlake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-45 victory against Mercer Island on the 10th.
