Baseball Game Preview: Inglemoor Vikings vs. Bellevue Wolverines

The Inglemoor Vikings will face off against the Bellevue Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Inglemoor has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Inglemoor fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Bothell on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Brody Ledger was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jeffery Myhre was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Benjamin Koppes was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Bellevue was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 6-2 to Juanita. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Ravens: they've now lost three in a row.

Ellis Oeltjen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Gayte, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Inglemoor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
