Softball Recap: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Whale Branch Warriors
Bridges Prep scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Whale Branch Warriors as the Bridges Prep Buccaneers made off with a 19-3 win. The victory was just what Bridges Prep needed coming off of a 13-0 loss in their prior match.
Baylee Stevenson was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Stevenson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mallorie Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lillie Prater, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Bridges Prep's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Whale Branch by a score of 15-3 later that day.
