Hart hadn't done well against Shelby recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Reese Smith paced Hart's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Grace Tucker and her ten assists. Finally, Jenna Babbin kept Hart's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Hart now has a winning record of 20-19-1. As for Shelby, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-19.

Hart has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against North Muskegon on the 25th. As for Shelby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mason County Central on the 25th.
