Basketball Recap: Torrington Trailblazers vs. Douglas Bearcats
On Saturday, Torrington faced Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Torrington Trailblazers were beaten by the Douglas Bearcats 61-27. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 70-41 defeat back in February.
Lauren Olsen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Douglas, shooting 50% from the field on her way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The game was Olsen's 42nd in a row with at least 15 points. Jaden Meyer was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
