Basketball Recap: Paden City Wildcats vs. Wood County Christian Wildcat
There's no place like home for the Paden City Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Wood County Christian by a score of 37-30 on Friday. This was a revenge contest for Paden City, as the team was forced to settle for a 41-22 loss when these two played last Thursday.
Paden City found their leader in underclassman Ashton Wade, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Wade hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games.
Paden City's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Wood County Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paden City will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Hannan is ranked 120th, while the Wildcats are ranked 119th). As for Wood County Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
