Soccer Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe and East Lincoln squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Monroe had to settle for second. They lost 6-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while East Lincoln are ranked 58th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-4. As for East Lincoln, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-4-1.

As of now, neither Monroe nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
