Basketball Recap: Bishop Mcguinness Falls Despite Big Games from Cooper Bradley and Brody Parks

After flying high against Harding Fine Arts last Tuesday, Bishop McGuinness came back down to earth. The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish took a hard 76-57 fall against the Edmond Santa Fe Wolves on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Bishop McGuinness had strong showings from Brody Parks, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds, and Cooper Bradley, who posted 14 points. That's the most points Parks has posted since back in December of 2023. Hudson Akin was another key player, putting up three points and five rebounds.

Bishop McGuinness' defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Edmond Santa Fe, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop McGuinness will welcome Harding Prep at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bishop McGuinness has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three games. As for Edmond Santa Fe, they will host Piedmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
