Recap: Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons vs. St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats
The Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons were the 61-42 winner over the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. Archie Williams took a serious blow against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Thursday, falling 71-35. While losing is never fun, Archie Williams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while St. Ignatius College Preparatory is ranked 96th).
Archie Williams' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ephraim Sohn, who scored 11 points, and Brian Wright who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Nichol, who scored 9 points.
Archie Williams' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Archie Williams won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northgate at 4:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Northgate focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. St. Ignatius College Preparatory will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Redwood at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
