Clifton Central's game  on Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Donovan Wildcats. Considering the Comets have won 11 contests by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Sydney Jemar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Rayven Perkins was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.  Mia Koch-Perzee was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  run.
Clifton Central has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13-1 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Donovan, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record  this season.
As of now, neither Clifton Central nor Donovan have any future games scheduled.
