Softball Recap: Glendale Beats Yoncalla for Their Fifth Straight Win

Glendale put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Yoncalla Eagles 10-3. Give the Pirates' hitters some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest runs they've scored all season.

Glendale pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Yoncalla, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Glendale and Yoncalla will both be playing Oakland the next time they take the field. The Pirates will head out to face the Oakers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
