Basketball Recap: Kamryn Caldwell Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

Watkins Memorial won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Watkins Memorial Warriors snuck past the Lakewood Lancers with a 41-37 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Watkins Memorial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamryn Caldwell out in front who posted seven points along with eight boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Perry, who had six points and ten rebounds.

Caldwell wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Watkins Memorial was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

The win got Watkins Memorial back to even at 3-3. As for Lakewood, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Watkins Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heath at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lakewood is facing Heath at the right time seeing as Heath is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
