Recap: Morristown Yellow Jackets vs. Southwestern Spartans

The Morristown Yellow Jackets came into Thursday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over Southwestern on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Morristown also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Morristown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was William Snyder out in front who scored 17 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Kieninger, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Morristown's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Morristown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eastern Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Morristown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Eastern Hancock is ranked 203rd). As for Southwestern, they will play host again and welcome Knightstown, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightstown is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, so Southwestern is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
