Soccer Game Preview: Goose Creek vs. Cane Bay

Goose Creek hasn't had much luck against Cane Bay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gators will look to defend their home pitch against the Cobras at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Goose Creek took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Stratford a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Cane Bay beat Berkeley 3-1 on Tuesday.

The Cobras hit the Stags with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaelyn Tomes, Eiliyah Tomes, and Claire Orth.

Cane Bay's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Goose Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
