            Basketball Recap: Hozho Academy Wolves vs. Navajo Pine Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Rehoboth Christian, Hozho Academy was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  49-46  win over the Navajo Pine Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Wolves have posted  since January 19, 2024.
 Despite the  defeat, Navajo Pine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Chad Tsosie  posted 14  points and five  steals. Those five  steals gave  Tsosie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anthony Sandoval, who  earned seven points and seven  rebounds.
Hozho Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 14 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Navajo Pine,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-17.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hozho Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Dulce  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Navajo Pine, they will host Ramah  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
