Volleyball Recap: Carter Takes a Loss

Carter had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Hesperia Scorpions on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 20 in a row.

Hesperia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylanna Akwaboah, who had 13 assists. Akwaboah has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last ten times she's played. Emily Ventroni was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

Carter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Indian Springs on the 9th. As for Hesperia, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Granite Hills on the 9th.
