Volleyball Recap: Ahoskie Christian Takes a Loss

Ahoskie Christian suffered their biggest loss since August 29, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones, falling 3-0. The game marked the first time this season in which Ahoskie Christian was not able to get on the board.

While Ahoskie Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.

Addisyn Pierce paced Ahoskie Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Pierce got some help from Kenley King and her nine assists. Kinsley Dunlow controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Leading Community Christian to victory were Ellie Gay and Isabella Ford. Gay had 14 digs and three aces, while Ford had 14 digs and one assist.

Ahoskie Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Community Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Ahoskie Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fellowship Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for Community Christian, they will be playing at home against Greenfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
