Soccer Recap: Catholic Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Catholic was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the John Paul II Catholic Saints could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Catholic's goal came courtesy of Jason Preble, who's now up to eight this season.

With that draw, Catholic's record moves to 4-7-1. Meanwhile, John Paul II Catholic's record is now 15-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic will challenge Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Catholic are facing Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at the right time seeing as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for John Paul II Catholic, they will welcome Christ Covenant at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. John Paul II Catholic will be up against Christ Covenant's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.44 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
