Basketball Recap: Elgin Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

On Tuesday, the Elgin Comets were able to grind out a solid win over the Triad Cardinals, taking the game 39-29.

Elgin's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Triad, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elgin will face off against Waynesfield-Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Triad, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Triad Cardinals challenge the West Liberty-Salem Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
