On Tuesday, Coppell faced Marcus in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Coppell Cowboys won by a goal and slipped past the Marcus Marauders 2-1. The result kept the Cowboys happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Neerali Kapadia and Reagan Roberson scored both of Coppell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Coppell's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five matches. As for Marcus, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2-3.
