Basketball Recap: New Life Camp Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

New Life Camp's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to St. David's on Tuesday. The New Life Camp Storm walked away with a 69-59 win over the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder. The Storm have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunder, too.

New Life Camp's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caroline Brown led the charge by going 9 for 13 on her way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Eliza Walters, who went 7 of 10 en route to 19 points and five rebounds.

New Life Camp pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Chatham HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

New Life Camp will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Guilford HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-27 victory against South Charlotte on the 19th.
