Football Game Preview: Riverton vs. Star Valley

Riverton will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Star Valley at 7:00 PM. Riverton come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.

There's no need to mince words: Riverton lost to Evanston last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-48. Riverton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 8-35.

Meanwhile, after soaring high against Blackfoot two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground. Star Valley found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-36 punch to the gut against Sugar-Salem. Star Valley were down by 0-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
