Baseball Recap: Shepherd Victorious

Shepherd won the last time they faced Meridian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bluejays came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 8-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bluejays.

Shepherd got a big performance out of Brady Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Polzin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Shepherd's record now sits at 17-3. As for Meridian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9-1 record this season.

Shepherd will head out to take on Standish-Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Meridian, they will welcome Farwell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
