Cordova and Southwind are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but not for long. The Cordova Wolves just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Southwind Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cordova's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Cordova was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Collierville on Monday. Cordova really took it to Collierville for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-36 win. The Wolves pushed the score to 52-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dragons had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Southwind faced Whitehaven in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Southwind took a hard 56-37 fall against Whitehaven.

Cordova will need to focus on slowing down Kristopher Carrol, one of several Southwind players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds. Carrol is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Ronald Towns was another key player, putting up eight points.

Southwind's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Cordova, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.

Cordova couldn't quite finish off Southwind in their previous meeting last Friday and fell 53-50. Can Cordova avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
