Red Mountain piles up the points against Skyline

Recap: Red Mountain Mountain Lions vs. Skyline Coyotes

The Red Mountain Mountain Lions entered their tilt with the Skyline Coyotes with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Red Mountain simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Coyotes 55-24 at home. With Red Mountain ahead 24-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Red Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Bigler, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Gage Lindsey, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Defeat or not, Skyline got some senior leadership from Joseph Fulkerson and Jeremiah Cole. Fulkerson scored 11 points along with five rebounds, while Cole. scored nine points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fulkerson has scored all season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Skyline struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Red Mountain pulled down ten offensive rebounds.

Red Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Skyline, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Red Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Mesa will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
