Basketball Recap: Richmond Heights Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

There's no place like home for Richmond Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish, posting an 85-54 victory. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fighting Irish on Friday, too.

Richmond Heights pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.2 points. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond Heights will face off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Louisville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Louisville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully St. Vincent-St. Mary likes a good challenge.
