Veritas Collegiate Academy came into Monday's game looking for another win against King's Christian Academy, but Elijah Burgess wouldn't allow it. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 74-51 margin over the Spartans on Monday for which the team can thank Burgess, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. Burgess is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.

The win made it two in a row for King's Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. King's Christian Academy will take on Riverdale Baptist in a tournament on Saturday. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against TPLS Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
